Luau Cake

I love summer BBQs, so for this celebration I went with a luau theme. The bottom cake is covered in strips of green fondant to resemble a grass skirt, with colorful gum paste hibiscus flowers all around. The top cake is half ocean, half sand, with some fondant seashells and a sand pail. Both cakes featured the perfect summer treat inside: fresh strawberries!
