Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) Cookies

For this Spanish teacher's classroom celebration of Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead), I decorated sugar skulls in traditional designs but using pastel royal icing for something different. With the leftover sugar cookie dough I decided to also make skeleton bone cookies decorated in the style of sugar skulls, just for something fun!
