To celebrate her 50th birthday, this client decided on a beach theme to reflect her love of the ocean and sea glass. She also wanted to incorporate strawberries and cannoli cream somehow, so I made two vanilla cakes, each filled with homemade cannoli cream, and frosted them with buttercream for a sandy palette.

To decorate the cakes, I molded some seashell chocolates in blue and yellow (to signify sun and sea), and used that same chocolate to dip/decorate fresh strawberries. I piled the strawberries and seashells on top of the cake, and finished it off with a custom sprinkle mix with blue bubbles, pink flamingoes, yellow pineapples, and orange fish.

It was fun to provide a bit of summer to a March birthday party!
