A Different Kind of Piano Cake

If you follow my blog you know that last year a made a piano cake for a Billy Joel fan that was actually shaped like a piano. This year, when I was asked to do something for a music lover/pianist, I decided to do something a little different.

This chocolate cake with buttercream frosting is covered in white and black fondant, designed to resemble piano keys. I added some buttercream swirls on top and sprinkled some black music notes to keep it simple but elegant. I was happy to hear that the birthday boy really enjoyed his cake....sweet music to my ears! (Pun intended.)
